It was a busy 2014 for Fire-cover.net

With the announcement that Sky1 were not going to re-commission the firefighting series The Smoke, a series which shot 6 days a week for 22 weeks, few at Fire-cover.net thought we would top the workload of 2013, But we did!

The chosen provider for fire appliances and equipment!

Fire-cover.net were the chosen provider for fire appliances and fire service equipment for the new Sky1fire service based drama 'The Smoke',

Filming  started in April and finished in September 2013. The series is based on the lives of a group of firefighters at a fictional fire station 'Mile End' and series 1 follows them on a complex twisting journey in the months after a disastrous fire, in which one of the main characters is almost killed. The 8 part series starts on February 20th 9pm on Sky 1 HD and is set to be a must watch programe for 2014.

Fire cover.net spent part of the summer working on the new Sky Atlantic Drama "The Tunnel" An adaptation of a Scandinavian series The Bridge, The Tunnel is set against the backdrop of Europe in crisis. When a prominent French politician is found dead on the border between the UK and France, detectives Karl Roebuck and Elise Wassermann are sent to investigate on behalf of their respective countries. However, the case takes a surreal turn when a shocking discovery is made at the crime scene, forcing the French and British police into an uneasy partnership. As the serial killer uses ever more elaborate and ingenious methods to highlight the moral bankruptcy of modern society, Karl and Elise are drawn deeper into his increasingly personal agenda. The series is 10 episode long and can be seen on Sky Atlantic.

fire-cover.net were chosen to provide the fire cover for this Hollyoaks sequence which won "Most Spectacular Sceneā€ at the 2013 British Soap Awards. Our close relationship and ability to work seamlessly with the special effects departments, helps productions get the very best out there scripts and onto the screen.
